Born in Sturgeon Falls,
Ontario, and presently residing and working in Sudbury, Ontario,
Lozia is a Canadian realistic artist who likes canoeing, fishing
and camping. She truly enjoys nature's beauty and surprises.
Lozia expresses her art through her paintings,
drawings, sprayed mixed medium and original crafts. Discussions
on all visual art medium and techniques are of great interest
to her.
She learns through observation and experiment.
While travelling with her family, west to Vancouver Island in
1979 and east to Prince Edward Island in 1980, she experimented
with sprays.
Lozia has art credits with Cambrian College, Sf-Lawrence
College and the Ontario Ministry of Education and is presently
a part time visual art instructor. Produces works on commission.
She is also a member of S.C.A.R.F. (Sudbury Arts and Crafts Foundation),
SAC. (Sudbury Arts Council), S.A.G. (Sudbury Arts Gallery) and
BRAVO (Bureau du regroupement des artistes visuels en Ontario).
She attends numerous workshops, conferences, and seminars throughout
the province.
Over the years, the artist has participated in
numerous duo, solo and group exhibitions in Ontario, Quebec,
New Brunswick, Japan, Europe and the United States. Some of her
works are presently on tour internationally and some have been
selected in juried shows such as the N.O.A.A. Circuit, "La
Cloche Country" Art Show in Willisville, Skelton Gallery
in Owensound, Public Library Gallery in Collingwood, Northern
Impressions in Timmins, The Massey Art Show and S.C.A.R.F. in
Sudbury. Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah Annual Heritage Art
Exhibition "Best of Show". At Ontario Place in Toronto
and at Science North in Sudbury, Lozia has exhibited her work
while conducting demonstrations in open format. She has received
several awards for her achievements and her works are now part
of numerous private and corporate collections in Canada, the
United States and Europe.
Lozia's unique style is proof of her imagination
and of the mastery of her artistic impression. She constantly
works at perfecting her art. She is a Northern Ontario artist
definitely worth meeting. |
